false bottoms anyone?

Post by mrlard »

right gents i am looking to get a few false bottoms made up is anyone in the market for one at the minute?

logic being i can save a few quid if i buy a massive sheet and cut it down as opposed to paying through the nose for a little bit

I might be; what diameter are you thinking of?

I realise this might be a bit late but if you haven't ordered yet I may well want a couple, one for my boiler and one for my mash tun. Any chance?

i haven't ordered any yet mate.

Basically you got to buy a F off gert sheet to get it for a nice price (so ideally need 4+ people in on it)

then i would sort out getting it cut down to size and finishing off with handles etc

Count me in. I could use one for my 50L stainless stock pot boiler. I will measure the diameter and get back to you.

cheers

Right, I have my new mash tun. The measurements are 42.5cm / 24cm with rounded corners of about 1.5cm and my boiler has a diameter of 37cm.
Cheers
