Found these, http://www.thehomebrewcompany.co.uk/a-u ... -2796.html are they a good deal?
Also do you strictly need to have a kegerator?
Where can you get the gas from?

Cheap ones can be ok. More often they are a PITA, they won't seal unless you pressurise to 10-15psi, not good for English beer styles.
Gas is available locally, lots of sources, about £20 per cylinder.

I got a 5-pack from them about a year ago and they have all been fine. They held pressure even just emptying a kettle of boiling water and letting the air inside heat up by shaking.
It was cheaper to go to their Irish site (.ie), pay a delivery charge and order in Euros but that may have changed.
Look for posts on here and Jim's Beer Kit. Some people needed to ask for free replacement seals. Just one or two got heavily-dented cornies which worked but they weren't happy with.
I'm really pleased I decided to build a kegorator. No cellar in my house to keep beer cooler in the summer.

If I was starting out again, I'd buy Sankey style kegs, no hesitation.

I also bought from homebrewcompany.ie. I'm not sure how "reconditioned" they are - o rings were shot on the ones I received. But they sent out replacements and the kegs have been good since. I don't think you can go too wrong at £30 per keg.
Re: Thinking about moving to Corni kegs
Sankey kegs are great I have 30l ones and tend to brew 25L at a time.

Hi Darren,
I bought a few of them from the homebrew company and they are all in good working conditions. I'm happy with them :)
Cheers,
Jose.

Great, had a chat to them and they say they wash and pressure test but don't service/replace seals.Jose_Garasto wrote:Hi Darren,

What was the general quality like? did you need new seals? And how long ago did you buy them?
