I have a 12v one I got my power supply in maplins BATH it is adjustable it varies from 5v-13.2v it is quite handy really if set at 12v and you want to slow down the flow you can reduce it down to 9v or even 7v there is one thing though you have to cut a piece off where it is plugged into the pump unless you have got something compatible the one I got costs between £9 and £10 it is a switching mode power supply model VN 10L Rodney

I personally run these in my panel - you can find uk suppliers which are more expensive but i have never had a problem ordering the half price ones from chin-all

controlled with a PWM which is a better way of controlling the speed of these pumps - for reasons i can't be arsed to explain

I've got one of these, I just pulled a 12v power brick off an old charger (read the back first!) works fine.
