Pipe Bender / Spring

Post by periolus »

Does anyone have one of those pipe bender tools for coiling soft copper tubing? If so, could I borrow one? My local plumbing supplier wanted £35 for one!!
I am working with 8mm tube.

8mm and 10mm should bend by hand provided you are wrapping them around something (cornie keg or similar) assuming you are building your chiller

I am using a cornie to bend it round. I should be okay then. Looking forward to it. Just need confirmation for the MAPP torch and then I'm away!

Mapp torch!

Make sure you give everything a nice boil before sticking in your wort. Nothing like the taste of flux and solder (spelling) in a brew to make your gums pukker

Do you just immerse it in plain boiling water for 15 minutes or so for that? Or longer?
