Yup, Aiming to go Friday mid afternoon onwards and also Saturday 6pm-ish after the BADRAG mild ale trail that is being led by SteveW.
Re: Arbor / Three Tuns beer festival 27-29 April
Looks like the mild trail should be interesting to say the least, as most pubs were not asked to have a mild on draught on the day!
The Mild Trail itinerary starting at 12:00 is:
The Portcullis in Clifton
Quinton House,
The Victoria,
The Vittoria,
Highbury Vaults,
Green Man,
Robin Hood,
Hillgrove Porter Stores
and finally, The Gryphon.
Looking forward to the Thornbridge Jaipur IPA amongst others and the Three Tuns Festival!

The craft beer revolution will not be sanitised!

No mild???!!?!111
Re: Arbor / Three Tuns beer festival 27-29 April
Weeeellll......
The portcullis will have two milds; Dawkins Master Mild 4.1%, Milkmaid 2.8%.
Quinton House, not confirmed but very likely a mild on
The Vittoria, Mild on: Two unspecified Milds
Highbury Vaults, Mild on: unspecified
Victoria, Green Man and Hillgrove Porter Stores all will have milds on
And, as for the The Gryphon, to quote Rogers mate Norman Spalding: 'is expected to have (I believe) twenty milds in May so there's a good chance of at least one on Saturday.'
So, far from my mild scaremongering quite a lot of mild, actually!
But not enough to stifle a strong desire for a few jars of IPA et al at the Three Tuns, post Gryphon!

That sound more like it Steve.
Re: Arbor / Three Tuns beer festival 27-29 April
Great festival! Nice to see Colin and Roger down there. Sorry I didn't manage to chat again, Roger. It was the first time Rachel and I had managed to get a babysitter and get out on our own for absolutely ages and we just chatted the night away with all the nice beer in the garden. You had gone by the time I came to find you again ; (
Well worth a visit. Of the five beers that I tried, they were all great - BUT - I think my favourites were Carnival and Smokeless (smoked porter). The 666 IBU number is also well worth a go, as it was genuinely lovely. I liked it much more than the 500-minute IPA that featured in the Grain Barge festival a few months back.
Are there any other festivals coming up in May?

There's allways some fest on somewhere, but the Tuns has one in spring and one in November ish (Coal Scuttle porter aged in Oak for almost a year should be on..)

I think I had 90% of the beers, the Downton - Apple Blossom 4.3% was my least fave and Arbor - Goo Goo G'joob 11% my fave but I couldn't have had more than a few. All the others were really very good.
