Just noticed this beer festival in Pints West that I picked up with a swift lunchtime beverage.

I bought my ticket for this a while ago.
A first time festival, organised by the council with very little understanding of Real Ale or Real Ale Culture, but with some advice from Bristol Camra
It will, I think be 'interesting'! Worth supporting and if it is a flop, The Three Tuns, Grain Barge et al are just down the road.
Maybe a 'Delegation' from BCB & BCC could find it's way there?
My ticket is for the Saturday Lunch-time session 12 - 4, Join me or avoid me at the evening session!

Will be going friday evening. Noticed the barrels on the stillage yesterday and a faint tang of beer permeating the Counts Louse..
I like to keep a bottle of stimulant handy in case I see a snake, which I also keep handy.

Any feedback on this event? Might help anyone decide whether to go in

There is a video of part of the set up:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&v=v9SPvtDkXRo
you will probably recognise Bristol Camra stalwarts from the Bristol Beer Festivals.
(many thanks to all of them.)
I went to both sessions on the Saturday there is a video of the event with me in it (Where's Wally?) at:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HgA5jKaW0DM
I am the guy propping up the end of the bar!
As you can see it was very poorly attended, maybe the promotion was poor but the beers and ciders were in tip top condition due to I think to Bristol Camras involvement.
No queues to get in or at the bar - Bonus!
Mainly local beers and lots of them and a few interesting beers too.
The bar staff almost fought to serve you as they were so bored!
All the beers were available for all three sessions.
Overall good value £10 entry with six half pint vouchers for camra members.
I would recommend it and will be going next year.
