I mentioned this at one of the meetings late last year. Its a Friday night through to Sunday morning camping meet up with a competition, its a in the Midlands (CV13 0BA) so a couple of hours drive from Bristol. Its a not for profit event and a lot of fun, I think our members could do well in the competition and I think it would be great if we could get a good number of BABA members up there although you'll be socialising with Midlands, LAB and so on but that may also help with more inter club stuff too.

There are pitches for tents and caravans, and a dry meeting area in a couple of "party tents" one of which is also used for lectures. It is organised as a club (it helps with the legal position of the meet up) and membership costs £5 per annum each member can bring a couple of guests (usually a friend, spouse, kids etc). Attendance and camping costs £9 per night which IMO is quite cheap or if you prefer to stay in a B&B locally you can have a day pass for £5.

The town centre is walk-able (I did last year) and has a fish and chop shop and Chinese, there will be hog roast on the Saturday evening and a food van for breakfast and other food. Although plenty of people also bring camping stoves and cook for themselves.

Dogs are allowed but should be kept on lead, people are encouraged to bring a keg, poly pin or bottles of home brew but its not compulsory, after all if everyone brought a keg there would be far too much beer! Donated beer is then provided on a help yourself basis and no money changes hands. A bar, gas, beer engines and so on is provided for kegs to be connected to and they can cater for Sankey or Coney kegs, but do make sure you mark your kegs clearly so they know who owns what.

So who's in!!

Is it a BJCP style judged competition again this year, in which case they will require some BJCP judges. I know ColinP judged last year.
