Not sure if this has been mentioned elsewhere on the forums but the L&SE comp is happening at the end of April.

Sam Tait has already put a call out for judges amongst the BJCP exam people.

If anyone else thinking of entering / Judging????????

I'm tempted to go up for the day.

More details:

The 2015 London and South East Craft Brewing Competition and Festival is now open for entries, with the competition taking place at Truman’s brewery in Hackney on 25th April.

The London and South East Craft Brewing Competition and Festival is a BCJP sanctioned competition where your beers are assessed by qualified judges against current style guidelines. Score sheets and written feedback will be provided on each entry. Rosettes, certificates and prizes will be awarded in each of 10 Category groupings and for Best of Show placings.

The beers are then made available to sample and discuss with fellow competitors and friends in a festival-type setting in the afternoon - providing a unique opportunity to sample hundreds of homebrews, arranged in their style groupings, with great and excellent examples of the styles flagged. A rare and excellent opportunity to compare your beers against others brewed to the same style, or just to explore the wide range of styles being made today.

We will have a great selection of prizes from homebrew shop vouchers to brew tours, crates of beer, vials of yeast and other brewers delights – usually extending to the top 3 in each of 10 categories, plus Best of Show.

Indeed, a very nice beer with unusual ingredient.
