co2 Fittings

Hi ! been reading this for while thought i start a journey to all grain.....
I picked up this and this today

and have some valpar hose to Cornelius keg 3/8" OD

I think i need this ? John Guest Gas Regulator Fitting 3/8 x 1/4 BSPT
but male or female ? and also a inline check valve ?
would this be ok ?

Hi and welcome.

Most primary regulators have an output that takes the fitting you linked to. Unscrewing the original fitting can be quite interesting but is possible using a suitable spanner (or mole grips.....). Alternatively bodge the tube onto whatever you have (can't tell from the pic) and use a hoseclip. The JG fitting just makes it more convenient to remove the pipe - which is something you hardly ever need to do.

Ok thank you i will order, yep looks like old one is glued in... its a SWP 2144 regulator.
