Hi all
Im only new to Home Brew forums but I'v started looking into brewing from grain so I hope to find loads info and tips here.
Anyways Im wanting to adapt a a cylinder that fits an S30 valve to a soda gas control board as been having a hard time finding a cost effective gas supplier for the 10kg CO2 bottles. I started using corny kegs with the co2 bulbs but wow i used loads of them so looking to adapt the normal gas bottle attachment to a Hambleton Brad bottle.
Has anyone attempted this and is there a link?
Im kinda stuck for ideas on this so anything will help.
Thank you all

£20 for a 'pub sized' bottle of gas and £20 deposit is the going rate, you don't think that's cost effective?
Or have you been looking at places that are more expensive than that?
Oh and Hi and welcome to the forum :)

Iv been asking around but haven't found that price from anyone as they all want a weekly or monthly hire also and that makes it not cost effective.
Where is the best place to get it from ?

I just got a quote from Bristol Gas this morning.
"
We offer a 10 litre CO2 cylinder, with contents of 7.2kg of CO2. This is the smallest cylinder available, and has a price of £19.00 + VAT per refill and a rental of £4.45 + VAT per month. This is done through direct debit, and you can complete the account and DD forms on site and take the bottle away with you.
"
Sounds pretty expensive :(

whites cellar supplies. turn up with £40 and leave with a pub gas bottle.
I like to keep a bottle of stimulant handy in case I see a snake, which I also keep handy.

I went to swap a bottle once and they had a 3 for 2 offer on, so I've got two spares now, never had to give a deposit either :)

Yeah, they are good guys there. I thought Bristol Gas were OK, or so Mr Lard said, but I may have been mistaken, in which case there is another place too.IHaveOneNow wrote:Well went to Whites today and hay presto i have gas :)
