gas line connection

Post by user346456 »

I have now got the following:
- Cornelius keg
- co2 bottle
- co2 regulator
- beer disconnect + tap
- 20m of 3/8'' pipe

I am not sure how to connect the output of the co2 regulator to the cornelius keg.
I was thinking of buying a 1/4'' barbed gas disconnect then using the 3/8'' pipe but I can't find any way of connecting the 3/8'' pipe to the co2 regulator. I looked round B&Q and couldn't find the right connection.

This is the regulator I have:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/180889649769? ... EBIDX%3AIT
I think the output is a 3/8" BSP thread. Does anyone know where I can buy a adapter for this to connect it to a 3/8'' plastic pipe?

Thanks

This the connector you need:
http://www.themaltmiller.co.uk/index.ph ... ductId=575

You can then go straight onto your 3/8" beer line.

Not sure of local suppliers. Mr.Lard maybe?

Where are you based? I might have some bits you can have.

You will need something like this

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3-8-BSP-RH-Nu ... 27ce109285

I use a jubilee clip to hold the hose onto the hose tail.

What connections do you have on your cornie disconnects?

That looks just what I was looking for. I will order one.

I have ordered a cornie gas disconnect with a barbed fitting so hopefully I can just push the pipe onto this and hold using a jubilee clip.

For now I just have a cheapo picnic tap for the beer line. Eventually I will get something a bit nicer.

Thanks for the help.

I think you'd be better of with a john guest (push fit) type connector onto your disco's. For gas in the size of the pipe isn't really an issue. For beer out i'd suggest stepping down to 3/16" pipe, that way you only need a short length to prevent foaming. if the tap bolts directly onto the disco then i don't think you'll have any issues.
