This isn't released yet but it doesn't look far away. Proper equipment porn.

Brewpi Spark - serious looking brewery controller
Brewpi Spark - serious looking brewery controller
60 percent of the time it works every time.
Re: Brewpi Spark - serious looking brewery controller
I have no need to update my brew pi. But I know I'm going to upgrade soon as newer spark core is out.
Re: Brewpi Spark - serious looking brewery controller
The lauterhexe kit hes had made looks interesting, surly that would just clog with that pellets..?
I order a few new temp sensor to fit a T, now just need figure out how get it integrated with mrlards offerings.
glad to see the change to a better database and web front end and the electric controlled valves coming soon too.

Rich P has something like that made from braided stainless hose, works a treat

Re: Brewpi Spark - serious looking brewery controller
It must be good if you wirlpool as the crud can gather at the center away from the hopfilter pickup.
Re: Brewpi Spark - serious looking brewery controller
It looks like the BrewPi (Arduino + RasperryPi) has been put to legacy now, I've recently just started setting up a system, going to use my STC for just measuring temperature in my HTL.
I've been reading this article here http://www.homebrewtalk.com/showthread.php?t=466106
My setup consists of a Arduino Uno, can get one for about £8.50 http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00P ... ge_o02_s00
A raspberry pi (RP), I had an old one I used but a new one is about £30.
a wifi dongle (£7), memory card (£10)
couple of SSRs circa £15 (Diodes + resistors, Transistors (30p))
couple of thermometers (£5) a few resistors (5p)
heater 45w £15
Boxes and cables £? depends on what you can reuse
OooH thats almost £100 :-)
The basic setup consists of setting up the RP as a webserver and a listener to the Arduino (this is all automated), flashing the Arduino with firmware to do the fermentation control (this was challenging). then attaching the ssr's and thermometers to the aurduno (don't actually need a shield).
The Arduino once set up can be disconnected from the RP, but if you want to know how its doing you can plug the RP into it and get a fancy chart and status.
The original BrewPi also had a lcd screen and knob but think you can just use the web interface, this makes the setup less complicated.
Think I've spent quite a bit more on other bits to play with.

Re: Brewpi Spark - serious looking brewery controller
Carrying on from this, think if you already have a pc, and a temperature controlled fridge, it's possible to get a setup for £34:
Arduino uno £6
Case for above £6
Thermometers 3 x DS18B20 £7.8
Solid State Relay 25A SSR-25DA x 2 £11.82
Cable, small components, cable blocks £2
