FastFerment

Post by steve crawshaw »

Santa came early and bought me a new plastic conical from US via Belgium

You can harvest yeast and effectively do a primary and secondary (i.e. off the trub) fermentation consecutively without introducing contaminants. It should also make bottling and kegging easier for me with the bottom drain. The downside I think will be more parts to clean. It has a thermowell so I should be able to monitor and control temps with a heater (no solution for cooling yet).

I need to find somehwhere to put it and i'm debating on whether it should go inside or outside (with temp control)

This will keep me off the streets over christmas..

I like to keep a bottle of stimulant handy in case I see a snake, which I also keep handy.

It looks small enough to fit in a 'fridge so that should be an easy temp control solution.
