disassembled hop strainer
This is for racking from primary a beer dry hopped with pellets. I have found that using my standard racking cane it's very dificult to exclude particles of hop pellet from the bottles.
The design is a stainless tea infuser, with the top sealed by RTV and with a silicone hose inserted in the hole. The racking cane goes through the silicone hose, push fit. The whole assembly is then introduced into the primary and the beer racked through the strainer.
The strainer can be autoclaved to sterilise as it is just made of stainless and silicone.
