Bergland have stopped exporting

Post by Jeltz69 »

Apparently according to a member on THBF Bergland declined his order for a 50L stock pot stating
our management has decided, that the delivery abroad is no longer possible. We can only ship within Germany and to Austria. I'm very sorry, but I'm no longer allowed to create orders, which should be delivered abroad. do you have an alternative delivery address in Germany or Austria?
A bit of a blow to the UK Homebrew market and hopefully it is only private buyers, otherwise I guess MrLard and the others will have difficulties.

I have a relative in Germany so I guess if I need another one I will have to ask a favour of her.

I don't think Mr Lard gets them from Bergland, hence why he can get the big 200L ones.

I reckon he will be OK.

That was my 1st reaction, however since they are stating that its only Germany and Austria they will ship to it might just be they have lost money on returns, losses and damaged goods.

Whats the point, you can get them from Mark and he is a stones throw away.

About 10% cost saving. I don't think it's worth the inconvenience though.
