Been making a stirplate

Post by Jeltz69 »

I've a couple of flasks here is it on the smallest. Its at the slowest speed, any faster and it throws the bar so I'm considering using a 9v supply instead of 12.

No need to change the supply voltage. I made one and put a pc fan speed controller like a Zalman fan mate II (about 3 quid on eBay) before the motor.

Allows you to alter the speed really easily.
60 percent of the time it works every time.

Get a really strong magnet inside the stir bar, this was biggest issue I had. I ordered various ones from eBay sellers until I found one that never got thrown off until silly speeds.

You can get good magnets out of old harddisks
