Deschutes Homebrew Recipes - direct from the brewery

Post by alikocho »

Deschutes have put up a load of recipes for their beers, although they don't give you all of the info. Take a look:

It's a bit like Gordon Ramsay providing his Amalfi lemon torte recipe;

lemons
eggs
flour
sugar

Not quite enough detail there to really call it a recipe!

Never heard of Deschutes either.

Brett brought one of the recipes to the American ales talks. I've had the beers, they are awesome. And I have some more details on some of them. The Obsidian Stout and Black Butte Porter are very good.

Deschutes were almost sponsors of the National Homebrew Competition, but when they investigated sending a case of beer found it was too expensive. They are trying to work something out, and said that they might come through with something....
