Hop harvest

Post by jeddere »

If this good weather sticks around I'm planning on picking the hops on my 3 hop plants, all one year old, this Saturday.

If anyon'e interested in helping with the picking and taking a few home them let me know. There's not a huge harvest to share around in return for picking labour but I'm impressed with the yield they have made for their first year.

They're on an allotment in Fishponds and varieties are Northdown, Progress and Cobb's Golding. Some have browned a fair bit but the lupulin looks good.

I'll be checking and harvesting on my fleeting return to Bristol for the National.

Might have some spare...

Gonna pick mine this week. They've been the best crop on the allotment this year.

I like to keep a bottle of stimulant handy in case I see a snake, which I also keep handy.

Same here pretty much.

Looks like you've been better at watering your's coming up to harvest than I have judging by the lack of browning on the cones. Think I might try and set up a drip irrigator from a water but for next year.
