And yet for all those who didn't like it, an awful lot of people did. I don't think it's a commercially viable beer style, but rather a curiosity. And it's definitely weird.RogerP wrote:It was good fun to watch people at the comp taking their first sip of it, priceless to see their faces as they looked for somewhere to pour it away!
After watching a few people try it, I decided not to :)

Re: Anyhting Gose
A quick look on wikipedia suggests there are three commercial brewers making it. I do find that hard to believe.
Re: Anyhting Gose
I'm really glad to have tried, and I'll look out for commercial examples, but I don't plan to brew one (I thought I might)...

I think it needs more sour, and a bit less salt. Recipe came fro Brewing With Wheat.

Yeah, I thought it would be more sour and it was the interplay between that and the salt I was looking forward to, but it ended up too much like hob-nob tea (salt and sweet).alikocho wrote:I think it needs more sour, and a bit less salt. Recipe came fro Brewing With Wheat.

Can't say that I will be rushing out to find these commercial creations. Too much funk for boring old me!
