Irish Red Ale using carared and roasted barley

I bought some carared on whim, while trying bulk up an order, in the expectation that it would add a red hue and understand that it is best used in conjunction with roasted barley which I do have.

Has anyone used carared and roasted barley to successfully create a red ale and if do you have guidance on ratios.
