Wild Hops in Easton

Post by darrenw »

Hi,
There are some wild hops that are just ripening right of Easton community centre, I've managed to pick about 5/600g's of them from the lower branches but I would say there is about another 3-4kg's+ on the higher branches so you will need a ladder. Think they will be done in a few days though so get them while there hop.

I have some from the trinity centre drying out at the moment. No idea what they are, but there is a subtle aroma of diesel :-)
I like to keep a bottle of stimulant handy in case I see a snake, which I also keep handy.

I got some (60 grams) of these but it's taken a while to post here.
Big onion/ raw garlic smell. Reminds me of Summit hops.
Made a hop tea with them and there was a similarity to EKGs, perppery and spicy, nothing like the smell of the hops when wet.
Planning a SMaSH with them in the near future.
Any news with brews done so far with them?
