I used Ray Daniels's book 'Designing Great Beers' when formulating the recipe (as I do when trying a different style for the first time). This is a fantastic book that I would definitely recommend.

Yes, I agree. It is indispensable if you are brewing to style and really helps you refine a recipe. Along with John Palmers book and radical brewing these are the three key texts IMO.
