Name of Beer: Swallow Ale - Appeal

Tasting Notes: A distinctly dry amber ale with a mellow blend of coriander and curaçao orange peel. Satisfying and easy on the palate.

Pour swiftly in one fell swoop to avoid disturbing the sediment

Beer Style: Golden Ale

Starting & Finishing Gravity: 1044 - 1006

Recipe (including grain, hop schedule, yeast & any other relevant information)
For 5 Gallon Brew
Water treated for bitter/Pale Ale
3.75 Kg Pale Malt
0.1 Kg Crystal Malt
0.1 Kg Flaked Maize
0.1 Kg Wheat Malt

Mashed at 66°C 90 mins
PH 5.3

55g Goldings Hops (=4%) 60 minutes in boil
35g First Gold Hops (=5%) 5 minutes in boil
45g Styrian Goldings (=5%) 5 minutes in boil

12g Ground Coriander 10 minutes in boil
45g Dried Curacao Orange Peel 10 minutes in boil

Safale US-05 Dry American Yeast

Feedback
Sight 7/10 - Good clarity and plenty of condition
Aroma 7/10 - Ok, spice, orange & hops - everything that was intended
Taste 7/10 - Good mouthfeel, with some hop bitterness
Aftertaste - 6/10 - Dry finish
x-factor 7/10 - Good, we finished it! Lacked a bit of hop finish
