A little heads up to carnivores.
Every Autumn Ashton Court Estate cull their red and fallow deer populations and sell the meat. I've had some for the last two years and am making my order for this year today. The meat is excellent - really tender and tasty.
For £70 you get 15 lbs of meat in two roasting joints, a big bag of steaks, a massive bag of stewing chunks and a massive bag of mince. The roasting joints are so good, you can roast them hot and fast and serve them rare - no need to marinate or slow cook.
I highly recommend.

Though the freezer might be slightly too full of hops at the moment ...

It's from the French 'folie' (madness) I thought. But then 'English' is a mish-mash of so many languages.alikocho wrote:Folly is such an english word. You mean a stone shed, yes ;)

Yes, but I think you may have missed my point about not using English words when they can be avoided where I am...RogerP wrote:It's from the French 'folie' (madness) I thought. Re: Venison
Er back to the venison. How much freezer space does that much dead animal take up? A shelf?
