How about we write a book????

Post by PMowdes »

I picked up a copy of the Durden park book recently and it got me thinking.

Would anyone be up for compiling a book of recipes?? I think that between us all we could easily put together a small book of 30 or so recipes, covering a range of styles.

I don't know anything about publishing books but i can't be that hard to compile something and perhaps sell it through ebay.

Any profits could go to the club fund.

That's an interesting idea. I do think there is a space for a book for homebrewers by homebrewers. Something very practically orientated with advice relevant to UK supplies and equipment. I would be happy to contribute.

Or we could do one of them there nuddy calendars with strategickly placed beer or brewing related items. Sandy is a bit of photygrapher, so I reckon ee's a good ideal.

Look at self publishing with Lulu. Probably the most viable option for something like this. The market is likely too small in the eyes of most pblishers boards (its them you have ti convince),l.

Ron Pattinson has done all of his books with Lulu. They do ebooks too.

Or you can self publish an ebook on Kindle.

I actually made a nudy calendar when I was at uni. It was a joke present for a mate, we were all in our early 20's though so a damn sight prettier than now. Lovely as you chaps are, I think I would have to scour my eyes out with oxi-clean afterwards.

I'm up for contributing towards a book, sounds fun. I know someone who self published on the kindle, it sounded fairly easy.
Burns stuff. And makes beer. Usually not at the same time.
