Hopped Cider

Post by alikocho »

Not tried it, and not sure it sounds like a good idea. What do people think?

I've thought of it, but I wouldn't be able to sell it as cider. Hops are not permitted according to notice 162 so it has to be rated for duty as if it were 'made wine'.

For personal use, could be interesting though (however I've been thinking about doing it for some years and never actually done it, might be an indication of how 'interested' I am).

Is notice 162 specific about hops? And does it allow other herbs or not? (I'm interested, but too lazy to look it up).
