Hello!
I'm Iain - in Bristol and my first brew is 2 days old and bubbling away. My first attempt is a pale ale type beer with pale malt, centennial and cascade hops.

Re: Hello!
Hello and welcome. Your hop choice sounds great. Did you add late hops and do you intend to dry hop at all?
Hope to see you at one of the future meetings.

Hi Iain
Welcome. I'm very new to the forum myself but managed to get along to the meeting in St Werbergs last week and it was well worth it.

Re: Hello!
Hi,
I did add late hops - I added a second batch of Cascade 15 minutes before the end of the boil and the final batch at the very end. I like the sound of dry hopping but think I may leave this to the next batch so I can compare the difference.
Will hopefully make it along to a meeting soon to say hi!
Cheers,
Iain

Re: Hello!
Dry hopping is best if you intend to drink the beer quite quickly, hop aroma tails off with storage. Not hard to do - just chuck some hops in - getting the wort out without the hops is tricky. Can actually be easier with hop pellets!
