Does anyone have a preferred yeast pitching rate calculator? I have had a look at the ‘Homebrew Dad brewunited.com’ one and the ‘Mr Malty’ one but they are both suggesting very different starter sizes.
I am planning an OG1065 beer and have a single white labs vial which expires about a week before I plan to brew. It’s a ‘vault’ strain so I can’t get hold of any more of this yeast.
I’m thinking a 2 litre starter would be enough. ‘Mr Malty’ doesn’t agree, but ‘Homebrew Dad’ does… what do you think?
