I guess Weetabix would be your best bet, I like to keep the quantity below 50% though or the results can be a bit dry...

Jokes aside, you can buy flaked wheat (just under £2/kg) from Better Food Co. in St Werburgh, or perhaps use torrified wheat instead. What's it for?

For a stout I'd just use whichever of torrified or flaked wheat was easiest to obtain.

Also meant to say it looks like jumbo oats.

I am hoping to make a stout on Tuesday the recipe calls for cane sugar every bag of sugar my wife's got is beet sugar eg(fair trade , silver spoon ) any suggestions

It's the same stuff, you can use cane or beet sugar.

I agree with Steve, no significant difference when you are making a stout, where stronger flavours prevail. A whole world of difference when baking, where cane sugar is the better choice.

thanks for that I will use the wife's sugar as for the cracked wheat I have settled for the torrified wheat thank you all

Bought some malted wheat flakes from the health food shop opposite South Road car park in Norton last year, that worked nicely in a few beers.
