Re: temperature
its a bit hot for most styles, might get away with it if it was a belgian \ saison. I had the same issue last week and was putting ice packs in the water bath to bring down the temps. worked to some extent.
cheers

I like to keep a bottle of stimulant handy in case I see a snake, which I also keep handy.

Re: temperature
If you have a 'fridge (I think you do) then get a temperature controller for it and brew whenever you want.
MrLard has them http://www.homebrewbuilder.co.uk/temp%20control.html add in a little tube heater http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/12106706 ... 108&ff19=0 and you're good to go.

Re: temperature
Maybe a bit late now, but got a temp controller for £8 off Amazon and wired it up to an old fridge a little cheaper. http://goo.gl/Xaoicv can advise on wiring, but as Steve says a Chilled container or a saison if not

Re: temperature
Darren its not too late because of the heat I have stopped brewing for a while, I've ordered a temp controller from Amazon and a 12 inch heater from eBay to control the temperature my cool larder , I wont brew again until it is all set up Rodney

Re: temperature
just curious to where to drill holes in the cool larder without causing any damage to the cooling system , I know there is a drain hole to allow water out but it might not be big enough for what I need (suggestions are welcome)

Re: temperature
I wouldn't drill. Wires and pipes can be anywhere!
Use a Stanley knife and cut a small piece of the outer skin away somewhere at the back. Next, carefully poke through and remove the insulation with something blunt. Hopefully you can now see the inner skin with no pipework in the way.
Complete the hole carefully, seal with silicone.

Re: temperature
I took the old thermometer out and inserted the new cable of the thermometer through the existing hole and bunged it up after, all the wiring is now outside.
