Post by alikocho »

There will be a BJCP exam in Bristol in November 2015.

Any takers for seats?

we discussed this at BBC. I think at least 3 of us might be interested. I will raise at BCB and get a definitive response together.

Could you have people contact me directly, so I can manage the list. And the sooner the better.

Bristol folks: me and Phil thought it might be a good idea to meet up and do structured tastings of classic styles together to prepare for the exam. I reckon we could squeeze four or maybe five samples out of a 330ml bottle so feel free to express an interest. I don't think we need to worry whether you're doing the exam or not, just could be a good way to get to know some obscure styles.

Yes, I'm in the frame for this and could host some tastings at mine. I'm also up for the 2015 exam and will put this on the agenda for next BCB.

cheers

So does anyone have a beer list that we can plunder? I'm happy to have a few evenings at mine as well so long as it isn't too rowdy.

Ali, put the following together for the first BJCP course. A starter for 10.

See the attached spreadsheet for details of beers to be tasted and where to source them - http://www.bristolhomebrewcompetition.o ... styles.xls - where beers are unavailable, select another example from the style guidelines.
I would work out the styles you want to taste and use the BJCP guidelines for the example beers.

I can also host. Rowdiness will be tolerated.
