I am happy to keep yeast dropped off beer for upto 4 weeks.

When you say washed what exactly have you done?

Washed with setrile water or a proper phosphoric wash

I was just looking into washing yeast from the bottom of my fermenter as I am having a spot of bother getting the yeast to start very well from a slant I was just wondering if this would be a better idea but seeing what you said about the time to keep it in the fridge I think I will investigate a bit more into slants only I don't brew as often as some of you guys so I need to keep the yeast active quite a bit longer than 4 weeks thank you
