Kingstone's Brewery - Humptey's Fuddle IPA

Post by Bimster »

Had a pint of this in the Seven Stars last night and was blown away by the quality of this one - it's shit.

Their website describes this as:
Our IPA, dangerously smooth at 5.8% ABV, is a warming, oaky-smoky tipple. Humpty has a slightly sweet floral nose, a balanced level of malt supporting the hops and finally a subtle but slightly citrusy finish.
To my meagre taste buds it was a pint of buttery sherry with no hop aroma or any real hop flavour.

Very disappointing.

Watch out for flat bottles too. Shame because the 1503 was quite good.

I will add Wadsworth's BOB (admittedly at the Downend Cricket Club - hardly a beer drinker's paradise) fits directly into the sherry butter category, with a little acetic acid thrown in for good measure.
Long live SHA(T)!
