Firestone Walker Union Jack

Draft at the Blind Tiger.

Suprisingly, an American IPA, given the name.

Gold, with tight white and lasting head. Grassy, currant and citrus hop aroma backed up by caramel and toasted malts. Flavour is an explosion of malt and hops - resionous, piney, citrus, caramel, toast. Firmly, but not overly bitter. Some alcohol warmth. Medium bodied, hops a little cloying. Lingering bitter finish.

A good, and not overly aggressive AIPA. Cloyingness in the middle palate makes this less drinkable than some.
