The UK National Homebrew Competition needs judges and stewards.
Judges judge beer. They need some experience, though for the purposes of the competition not all need necessarily be qualified BJCP judges. Judges from other organizations and professional brewers will also be suitable as judges. Judges will be paired with an experienced and qualified judge.
The steward's role is an important aspect of getting the competition to run smoothly, and is a great way to learn about judging beer. Stewards support judges by bring beers to the table, ensuring that judges have the supplies they need, taking away empties etc. It may not sound glamorous, but it's a lot of fun.
All judges and stewards will receive points for advancement in the BJCP.
Judges and stewards may still enter the competition, but will not be assigned to a category which they have entered.
If you are interested in participating in these roles, please register on the site - http://www.nationalhomebrewcompetition.org.uk
Any questions, please contact the organiser.
