I'll come pick them up, not sure if I can make it to the next meeting as I may be working that night. I'll text you.
Burns stuff. And makes beer. Usually not at the same time.

I'd have thought that beer would Slam Dunk the Funk!

But seriously, there'll be feedback (it's all been sent out already after a late night session with an Imperial Stout so expect packets in the post). Read it. Taste the beer. Contact the judges if you want to.

It might also have been a bad bottle. The second (if asked for) may also have been bad.

Cheers Ali. BBC is next week right? Think I can make it after all, thought it was the week after. Can you bring them along to that please?

Oh also, having just looked at my scores for the competition, is there any way of looking at what the other winners scored? Or is that totally confidential? I'm curious as I think it would be useful for comparison to get a gauge of how well we actually did.

It's confidential as to what others scored. You can gauge how well you did from the score you got and the feedback.

I can tell you that the range of scores accross categories was 0-45 - meaning that beers ranged from unsampleable to world-class style examples. The average score was 28. Worth remembering that different judges may have been more friendly or harsher than others, too.

APA. I was going to stick it in as an English Pale, but you lot all said APA was closer to the mark.

Must have been something wrong, although all the other bottles of that have been fine.
Ho hum, never mind.
