October meeting - Thursday 18th at Miners Arms, St Werburghs

Post by Capn Ahab »

Calling brewers near and far, 'Bristol's most relaxed homebrew club' is holding its monthly meeting this Thursday at the Miners Arms, St Werburghs. Meet in the bar at 7.30ish for an 8pm start upstairs.

Please bring homebrew to share (if you have some - not mandatory), an analytical palate and an open attitude. We like to criticise your beer only so we can all become better brewers!

Feel free to tell us what you're bringing below.

See you all there mofos.

I've got a Belgian Porter that got mauled at the National BTW that I thought was half decent... Would people be interested in seeing the scoring sheets from the judges?

In fact it might be interesting to see how judges go about appraising the different styles, so perhaps other folks could bring one of their National entries along with the scoring sheets. What do people think?

Not entirely true, I like to criticise your beer because it is yours.

Who's got these score sheets then? I haven't seen site of mine yet!

If I did have a score sheet then I could bring some of that smoked beer, a few bottles left and my IPA isn't quite ready yet.

But then I've got a blinding cold, not 100% sure I'll make it out at all.
