(possibly) crazy idea

Use club funds to buy all paid up members a Christmas present.

I would suggest this;

I put this forward as there is unlikely to be any meetings at any time this year (or possibly next too)

Hi Roger,

You're right - this is a crazy idea!

As much as it would be lovely to have that case of beer I'd rather see the club money grow over the next few years and it be spent to subsidise a tour/an activity abroad. It could be used to kick-start the Belgium trip we were looking at doing?

As an alternative, how about we all brew each other a few beers for Xmas? Sort of like a secret Santa and we feedback on the forum?

Simon.

Probably not a good idea.

We have roughly £6-700 in the account after deducting the recent malt order. Its probable that we don't get to meet until spring of next year and maybe if that happens with next years subs added in we would have enough to organise another trip. For me & Carol actually going out with a bunch of people less than 2 feet away would be real forgotten pleasure.

To be honest, I don't see any point in paying subs for 2021 until we are meeting regularly again.

I like this idea - would be nice to swap some beers! Not sure how the logistics would work though.

Hope everyone is well by the way!

Cheers,
Rob

Maybe a donation to Bristol CAMRA to help towards losses over cancelled Beer Festival.

HAHAHAHAHAH. Local CAMRA branches create an extraordinary amount of money for CAMRA from beer festivals, losses are not the responsibility of the branch and I would expect they had insurance policies in place in any case.
