February meeting 7th February

Post by I_used_to_brew »

I'm a little late with the agenda, been suffering badly with man-flu.

Could we aim for a nearer to 19:30 start than 20:00 if possible.

As you all know, this is to be a fairly informal meeting, we are hosting 5 visitors from Liffey Brewers. We agreed to each make and bring with us a 'stout'. It's a bit late if you haven't made one and in that case bring whatever you fancy.

1. Introductions
2. Items for sale/swap
3. Items of interest to share
4. Drinking each others beers.

Sorry all, but I'm not going to be able to make it tonight. Currently fighting the lurgy and losing.
Would anyone be able to take minutes (if needed) on my behalf?

Pete tried to take some notes, but with a turnout in the 25 ish region, it was partially organised chaos, but very good fun.

But, to sum up.

We welcomed 5 visitors from Liffey Brewers.
There were three potential new members.
There was a call for BJCP judges for a competition (all judges should have had an email)
A reminder of the upcoming Bristol Beer Festival - Tickets sold out for Friday/Saturday evenings. CAMRA members can volunteer to help staff the festival.
Peter collected most of the outstanding subs.
We drank a shitload of beer, with every one being to a very high standard.
