March 2014 CBA interclub competition

Post by Bimster »

Ali has confirmed that the March 2014 CBA Inter-Club competition is to go ahead with LAB hosting/judging.

It's category 22 - Smoked-Flavoured/Wood-Aged Beer.

So sub styles:

22A: Classic Rauchbier
22B: Other Smoked Beer
22C: Wood-Aged Beer

Enjoy.

Steve C and i have both made a smoked wheat beer, i suspect mine will be shite because i had a nightmare brew day but it may be ready in time for the comp. Hopefully Steve's will be better than mine.
60 percent of the time it works every time.

Thanks James, got any more details, e.g. deadlines for submission, addresses for posting etc?
As phil says, I have a gratzen, but march might be pushing it, and it may not be any good. However I have a couple of smoked porter winter warmers that might suit.
cheers

I've got a wood aged porter. Might be a bit extreme, would like some other opinions.

Entries need to be with LAB, as hosts, by 25th March. I'll let the brewer of the selected beer know the details outside of the forum to preserve privacy.

It's the logical approach, I think.

Just a quick reminder that the Bristol (BABA) entry to the CBA Club Only Competition (category 22 - Smoked-Flavoured/Wood-Aged Beer) is scheduled to be chosen at BBC this Thursday.

Please bring along any beer you wish to be considered for entry.

The selected beer will need to have 2 bottles sent to London (details to be provided on the night), very shortly after the meeting to meet the 25th March deadline LAB has set.

Cheers.
