July 2013 Meeting

Post by steve crawshaw »

Hi

Just your monthly notification of the forthcoming meeting: 4th July, 8PM start at the stag and hounds, Old Market. Draft Agenda:

1. Introductions
2. Ingredient swap
3. Events
4. Competitions
5. Structured Feedback tasting session. Please PM \ email me if you want a beer included in this session - state the style. We will do a maximum of 5 beers as previously agreed with 15 minutes per beer to allow group feedback. If demand outstrips supply, I propose that we draw lots. If you are unsuccessful this time, you will go to the front of the queue for the next session. One beer per brewer. I will bring forms and pens.
6. Unstructured(!) tasting session.

Please let me know if you want anything added to the agenda, but note that we have quite a full program this month.

cheers
steve

Could you throw in a reminder about the National in Oxford on September 14 please?

Very few Bristolians signed up, and there's a lot of judges in Bristol....

And if someone wants to volunteer to act as a drop-off point, I can collect the previous weekend as I'll be in Bristol for a conference (I might even make it to the meeting, if you wanted to make the meeting a Bristol drop-off night).

Can I make a suggestion on the structured feedback?
Could we use shorter judging forms like L.A.B. do? It should speed things up a little, and there's the bonus of less paper wasted.

I've put together a PDF (attached) if interested.

Taz... or Chris. It's up to you.
