Re: Greetings from Dublin

Hello! You've made a good choice coming to Bristol - there are plenty of fantastic beery places to visit. But I think you'll find one day is no where near enough time! As you're only here a short while I'd recommend visiting some of the pubs and bars on King Street. The Beer Emporium, Small Bar and ...

Re: New Competition

Some of you seemed interested at Monday's meeting, so this is a bump for this thread. There were some great beers at our Winter Warmer Comp that I'm sure could do well! If you've made or are planning to make a bitter, golden ale, porter, mild, etc., Why not enter them? There are only a handful of sp...

Re: Malt Order December 13

I’d like a 25 kg sack of uncrushed Maris Otter please. If anyone wants to split sacks of brown, amber and/ or mild malt, I’ll take some of these too. I don’t want loads though as I won’t get through it! Up to 5 kg of each uncrushed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I've paid for 25 kg Maris Otter...

New Competition

Hi all, Worcestershire HomeBrew Club are putting on a competition in January. Styles are limited to BJCP categories 11 to 13 (British Bitters, Pale Ales & Brown Ales). More info here: https://www.worcestershirehomebrewclub.co.uk/midlands-invitational/ This looks to me like it could be a good lit...

yeast pitching rate calculators

Does anyone have a preferred yeast pitching rate calculator? I have had a look at the ‘Homebrew Dad brewunited.com’ one and the ‘Mr Malty’ one but they are both suggesting very different starter sizes. I am planning an OG1065 beer and have a single white labs vial which expires about a week before I...
