i Haven't done it for a while but i always used to freeze a litre of unfermented wort per 20 litre batch assuming under 5% i then used to boil this up and throw it into the feremented 20 litres. works out enought for 2vols of CO2 per bottle.. however it might be an idea to check my math its been a w...

2.chuck it in the fridge
3. throw it in the next beer

spinning sparge arms aren't needed in small set ups... I understand their need in big rigs but not for what homebrews do. Give me 2 meters of hose and i will show you how to hit 85% everytime. your money is better spent elsewhere - flow rate out of the tun is far more important than how you add liqu...

I am happy to keep yeast dropped off beer for upto 4 weeks.

When you say washed what exactly have you done?

Washed with setrile water or a proper phosphoric wash

if it was me i would collect half a pot of yeast top up with the same beer. Give it a dam good shake half an hour before use and let it settle for 30 mins by which time all the dead sh**y bits (trub etc) would of fallen out. then chuck that on the next beer being careful to leave most of the trub be...
