Re: BCB Summer BBQ Saturday 29 July

Hi Pete,

Me, Sarah and the 2 boys would like to come along. One son is diving at Vobster earlier in the day. Not sure when he finishes, but my guess is we can join you around 5pm.

Cheers,
Mark

Re: CO2 gas bottles

Just collected a large bottle from White's. Now £48 plus VAT, but no deposit charged (and I had no bottle to exchange). It is a beast though, I couldn't lift it out of the car.

Re: Growing hops at home

Hi Simon, A lot of the information on growing hops comes from "mass production" hop yards. Like Roger's, mine thrive on neglect. From home cultivation point of view, here are some of my thoughts: Triming back rhizomes and multiple shoots. In a hop yard mildew is a major concern, and hence ...

Re: Un-Fermented taste in beer

It was me and Tim taking yeast (and b*****ks). Actually I didn't pick up anything unfermented - crystal finishes with a sweetness/ caramel. I thought it was a good bitter. I think the conversation was along the lines of "It's good now. The next level probably needs the nuances that a particular...
