Massive thanks to everyone that put in an appearance and helped with the competition this last week whether it was help with the unpacking, stewarding or judging. Bristol water is quite hard. I'd recommend testing for alkalinity each time you brew and treating accordingly. Alkalinity varies quite a bit depending on season and which reservoir the water comes from. Since the alkalinity has the biggest single impact on mash pH it's important to measure. You can ...

Hi all Apologies whether I'm writing in the wring place, as I'm just arrived in bristol and in UK I might miss something :).
