LHG Flat White
Bristol's Left Handed Giant have a tap takeover at Small Bar, their Flat White coffee stout is excellent. Brewed with Arbor and local FCP coffee it's my new favourite stout. If you like coffee and you like stout, don't miss out on this. Almost worth it for aroma alone.

Re: Bottle Gushers
Target finishing gravity was 1.01 giving me about 4% abv from a 1.04 OG. My actual finishing gravity was a little under 1.01. Drinking one now - still taste fine, nothing discernibly off. Chilled this overnight and got no eruption at all - just a gentle fizz on popping the cap. Another problem which...

Bottle Gushers
Hi, I've opened a few of my latest batch of dark scottish ale over the last few weeks as they mature and they have all been gushsers, and I mean real gushers - erupting 20-30% of the contents immediately on opening. So, what happened? I primed with 40g of table sugar in my 15 litre batch, this was d...

Re: Switching to kegging
Beginner's kit here looks interesting http://www.thebrewshop.com/contents/en-uk/d91.html though it uses co2 bulbs rather than a gas canister. From what I've read the pub gas bottles can be hard to get hold of, so this might be a good option. Am also looking ath the option of a soda stream adapter wh...

Re: Switching to kegging
fine for storage but the beer goes off quickly once they are tapped. Then it doesn't look like it's suitable for my needs, I want 3 - 6 months of shelf life with ability to draw off a pint when I want one. I will have another look at cornies, I was looking for a sub £100 initial set up ideally and ...

Switching to kegging
Afternoon all, I've just spent several tedious hours scrubbing and cleaning bottles and am thinking about switching to kegging instead. I'm looking for an entry level system that will save me a few hours of bottling and have found this http://the-home-brew-shop.co.uk/acatalog/Mini-Keg-Stater-Kit.htm...
